Sequences of photos showing Great Horned Owl scavenging a Great Horned Owl carcass: (A) owl landing on and dragging carcass; (B) owl standing on carcass; (C) owl plucking or tearing at carcass; and (D) owl carrying carcass away. Date and times stamped on the photos are different from those presented in the text due to an initial error in the memory card set-up. Event date and time were calculated by cross-referencing with field notes that documented when the camera was activated.
